Tutorial 01

For this semester, I have decided to go with 2D game development because I think it is easier to understand. When I started the tutorials, I struggled for a bit because I like following a tutorial video instead of reading instructions and following them but then I found it easy as I understood what I am doing. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I really enjoyed doing the first 2d animation game because I knew what I was doing and that I learnt a lot from the tutorials. Now I know how to do a simple 2D game and also a 3D game from the last semester. I had an issue with the tile map tutorial because in the tutorial unity was a different version than my version but there was a YouTube tutorial I found and it was easy to do and I understood it at the end. I also learnt how to paint, draw tiles in pallets, and what every element and button inside unity how it works and how to use it. I skipped some instructions because I already knew about them from semester 1 so I didn't need to read about them again. Hopefully, I will enjoy the rest of the tutorials for the rest of the semester.

  1. Hey Hanin, welcome back! hope you are excited to return to multimedia and create another game :) How did you find the tutorial ? I found some of the step too long and that they repeated themselves but over-all 2D tutorial was good and a nice refresher.

  2. Hey Hanin, hope you're getting on well so far this semester! I chose to follow the XR tutorials this semester so I'm interested to see how you get on with the 2D game! There seems to be plenty of resources online for helping you along with it once you start developing your own game.

You did an awesome job with your game last semester so I'm looking forward to seeing what you can create this semester! All the best :)
